What: Are you a BCIT student looking to volunteer and gain credible experience directly applicable to your resume or CACEE? BCIT's FMA can offer that experience!!!
The FMA has a proven track record of providing experience that employers value and many executives have left the FMA and BCIT and gone into rewarding careers.
The roles -
VP of Internal Communication- Be the first voice connecting the FMA and students. VP of Internal Communication handles all facets of communication with students seeking anything from information on the FMA, FMA events, industry related questions and other advice. The responsibilities also include booking rooms and event logistics for FMA sanctioned events.
VP Finance & Administration - The VP of Finance & Admin handles all the accounting aspects of the club. This includes invoicing and payables and requires signing authority for the FMA bank account. The BCITSA provides an accountant that handles the books and assists when needed. The responsibilities also include administering the FMA's facebook group and website. It should be noted that extensive computer knowledge is not needed, if you have a facebook account or have taken the BSYS courses in first year FinMan you have what it takes!
VP of Marketing & Team Development- The VP of Marketing & Team Development is a new position being implemented for the 2011/2012 school year. The responsibilities include promoting the club and recruiting new members bringing awareness first and foremost of the benefits of the FMA. The VP of Marketing will recruit members to help aid in marketing and promoting events as well as organizing on campus events.
For further information regarding the positions available please come out on March 2, 2011 to get more details and have your questions answered. This will also be the time to speak up and nominate yourself or someone in attendance that you know would make a great executive.
