Dear FMA Members:
Hope your classes are all going well so far! We just wanted to inform everyone that we will be taking orders and collecting payment for FMA business cards on Wednesday, February 1st in the Great Hall (we will have a table with the FMA banner). We understand that this is a very short notice, so we will be making another order very soon for those that don’t meet this cut-off.
We have finalized the details for the business cards. They will cost $20 for 100 cards. To keep things simple we would like for those that are interested in ordering FMA business cards to do the following:
Be prepared to have the following information that will be printed on the cards available:
a. Full name
b. Title (B. Tech Accounting Degree Candidate, BBA Degree Candidate or Dip. T Financial Management Candidate)
c. Phone number
d. Email
In order for your business cards to be processed, we must have received payment from you by Wednesday, February 1st 4:00 pm. If for whatever reason you are not able to meet us on this day, not to worry, we will put you in for the next order.

Hi Everyone,
Happy New Year! Hope you all had a wonderful break. We just wanted to thank everyone who came out and voted for the FMA Elections. We really appreciate the support we received. As your 2012 Exec Team we will do our very best to give you opportunities to network with professionals and accounting/business students from BCIT and other schools.
What you can look forward to:

· More networking events
· Job shadowing and career opportunities
· Interview sessions with professionals in the industry

First, thank you to all those that came out to vote and show their support for the candidates. I am proud to say that we had a record amount of voters (over 200!!) so each candidate should be very proud of their campaign, especially given the time of year. Without further delay, the winners of the 2011 FMA Election and your new Executive team for 2012 are:

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of BC (ICABC) and BCIT's Financial Management Association are proud to present the second CA info session of the 2011/2012 school year.
If you are looking to jumpstart your career in accounting or have no idea what the CA profession offers, this event will provide you with the opportunity to gain information. This event provides students with the knowledge of the profession and the opportunity to ask questions in a relaxed setting. Also, a CA guest speaker from Manning Elliott will be present to answer any questions you may have!
